Last week Liam attended the Business South 2023 Conference. The event aimed to bring together HR Professionals and Business Leaders to explore relevant and critical issues currently facing employers. It was an incredibly successful occasion which allowed for the discussion of various topics and sharing of advice.
Liam was one of the five talented speakers who were invited to talk about particular topics; he spoke about Gen Z in the workplace, and more specifically what employers should be doing concerning this new generation. Liam honed in on the topics discussed in our previous blog, outlining the expectations and culture shift which comes when new generations enter the workforce, focussing on Gen Z. The presentation was well-received and created various conversations as well as opportunities to share opinions and advice. After a wonderful group of presentations, the attendees were given the chance to ask the speakers questions in the form of a panel. They were joined by two ‘Gen Zers’ who spoke brilliantly about their experiences in the world of work. This was a great exercise in which multiple generations came together to share their thoughts on life in the workplace and was certainly something that employers in the room found insightful.
