Role: Foodbank Office & Warehouse Assistant
Location: Salisbury Foodbank Office
Hours: Part-time – 12 hours per week
Salary: Real Living Wage
Contract: Permanent

Salisbury Foodbank is here to provide emergency food and support to local people in crisis. We're part of the Trussell Trust network and committed to a future where no one in our community goes hungry.

We’re now looking for a caring, capable, and highly organised Office & Warehouse Assistant to support our busy operations and help keep the Foodbank running smoothly. This is a varied, hands-on role, where your attention to detail and heart for helping others will make a genuine impact.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day admin and data tasks in the Foodbank office

  • Entering food voucher and stock information into our online system

  • Handling emails and phone enquiries with warmth and professionalism

  • Keeping our systems and records in line with data protection policies

  • Assisting with social media updates and basic website maintenance

  • Helping coordinate collections, events, and other Foodbank projects

  • Following health & safety and safeguarding guidelines at all times

  • Lifting and moving food boxes (up to approx. 13kg) in the warehouse

  • Occasionally stepping in to support or deputise for the manager/warehouse lead

💙 Who You Are

  • You’re organised, proactive, and genuinely care about helping others

  • Confident with general admin and basic finance/data entry

  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal

  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace & happy to learn new systems

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a supportive team

  • Willing to undertake training in health & safety, safeguarding, and more

  • Happy to undergo a DBS check

  • Able to work occasional out-of-hours events (with time off in lieu)
