The Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll support the finance team with general ledger operations, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end reporting. You’ll also assist with budgets, VAT returns, supplier payments, and financial accounts while providing cover for the Senior Management Accountant.

Your responsibilities will eventually include:

📌 Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts.
📌 Handling purchase ledger and managing supplier payments.
📌 Reconciling key balance sheet accounts and assisting with intercompany reconciliations.
📌 Supporting the production of accurate management accounts and year-end audit work.
📌 Monitoring cash flow, aged stock valuation, and VAT returns.
📌 Taking ownership of financial processes and helping improve efficiencies.

 

What We’re Looking For:

✔ AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent QBE (2+ years’ experience) in a finance assistant role.
✔ Experience in performing whilst in a general Accounts Assistant role.
✔ Strong attention to detail and the ability to own financial processes.
✔ Good Excel skills
✔ A team player who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
✔ Someone with a positive attitude, professional approach, and great communication skills.
