We are seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to join a busy and friendly Finance team. You'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices, handling multiple currencies, reconciling accounts, and supporting the wider finance team as needed. This role offers a blend of routine tasks and opportunities for input on system improvements, ideal for someone with an eye for detail and who would say they are a bit of a 'number cruncher'.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and record purchase invoices across various ledgers
Organise and process payment runs in multiple currencies
Maintain and update supplier details
Reconcile credit card statements and update accounting systems
Reconcile cash and expenses related to tours
Analyse card and bank receipts, and reconcile bank accounts
Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and audit queries
Contribute to system development for continuous improvement
What we are looking for from the right candidate:
Essential:
Understanding of ledger accounting and reconciliation principles
Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills, especially with non-finance colleagues
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Team player with the ability to work independently
Working pattern:
Initially through training you will spend 2 days in the office but after that, you will be remote, coming to the office 1-2 times per month for meetings. 37.5 hrs per week Mon-Fri
