About the Role:
We’re looking for their first dedicated member of a Pricing team. You'll recommend price changes to improve loss ratios and sales volumes, build and maintain risk and demand models, enhance our rating algorithm, and adjust to market conditions. You'll work closely with underwriting, technology, and senior leadership teams to communicate your recommendations and report on performance. This role is ideal for a senior pricing analyst or junior manager ready for more responsibility.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Strong background in personal lines pricing; niche insurance product knowledge experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficient in R and SQL, competent in Python and SAS, experienced in Risk and Street pricing, and skilled in GLM & GBM modeling.
Data Management: Ability to build rating structures and integrate internal and third-party data sources.
Commercial Mindset: Identify and act on drivers to grow our proposition and business.
Team Player: Excited about contributing to the growth of an exciting product and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Recommend price changes to improve financial outcomes.
Build and maintain risk and demand models.
Improve our rating algorithm and respond to market changes.
Work with underwriting, technology, and senior leadership teams.
Develop and integrate data sources for successful pricing.
Lead on technical delivery and commercial growth.
Technical Expertise:
Programming: Fluent in R and SQL; strong competency in Python and SAS.
Modeling: Experience with GLM & GBM, ML models including GBMs and Decision Trees.
Data Management: Develop ETL processes and manage databases.
Tools: Proficient in Earnix, Radar, PowerBI, Qlik, and Sisense.
