A new role is now available for a Risk and Compliance Advisor to join a small team within an established Legal firm here in the heart of Wiltshire. About the role: You will provide crucial support, guidance, and advice to the firm in identifying and managing regulatory risk, ensuring that internal controls effectively measure, manage, and mitigate these risks. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to positive change within the organisation.

  • Assist in analysing, administering, and processing claims and complaints.

  • Develop and deliver regulatory training for new and existing staff.

  • Conduct regular internal audits and reviews.

  • Update and review regulatory policies.

  • Maintain databases for claims and complaints and generate reports for senior management.

  • Coordinate with insurers, external solicitors, and Law South on claims and complaints.

  • Provide guidance on internal regulatory queries and support onboarding.

  • Assess and update internal policies based on regulatory changes.

  • Take on additional projects as needed.

Skills and experiences we are looking for include:

  • Prior experience in a risk and/or compliance role.

  • Reviewing and advising on risk and compliance policies

  • Designing, developing, and delivering internal regulatory training.

  • Undertaking internal regulatory audits.

  • Detailed knowledge of SRA, AML and/or GDPR requirements and the regulatory framework.

  • Ability to support and assist in the development of more junior members of the Risk & Best Practice team.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all parts of the firm.

  • Good time management skills, the ability to manage your workload, meet deadlines and prioritise work.

  • A flexible and proactive approach with a 'can do' attitude.
